La Pomarrosa Yellow Geisha is the first release in Prolog’s new category, curiosity. This has been created to showcase some unique projects and limited lots. It is a refined expression of washed Yellow Geisha from Colasay, Peru (1700–1850 masl), produced by the exceptionally talented Merci Fernández. With only 180 kg available, this limited release marks Prolog’s first-ever Yellow Geisha secured from Merci after three years of collaboration. In the cup, it reveals an elegant and articulate profile with notes of white flowers, orange blossom, sweet lemon, and stone fruit, carried by complex acidity, a light silky body, and a beautifully smooth mouthfeel. Grown under certified organic practices at La Pomarrosa, the farm integrates agroforestry and innovative “fruta madura” processing to enhance both sustainability and flavor precision. Merci, an educated agricultural producer and experienced cupper at Origin Coffee Lab, brings scientific knowledge and a keen attention to detail into every lot she produces.
