Oasis Coffee Roasters is a Taipei-based specialty coffee roastery and cafe committed to a scientific approach to roasting and brewing. They specifically emphasize "consistent, well-developed high-extraction style light roasts", focusing on coffees with clean terroir profiles, clear fruit notes, and high sweetness.
Oasis is led by Yuta Chu, who recently won the 2025 Taiwan Brewers Cup Championship. His story traces back to his first sip of Tim Wendelboe’s coffee in 2015. Originally in the film and visual-arts world, Yuta was so shocked by the coffee's sweetness and clarity that he decided to switch paths completely, dedicating himself to specialty coffee ever since.
Yuta’s background in visual storytelling carries over into how Oasis approaches coffee: as a medium to express origin, nuance, and care. Oasis was founded on the idea of being an “oasis” in the middle of a busy city – a calm, intentional space for guests to slow down, enjoy, and dive deeper into coffee. It’s a philosophy we deeply resonate with at Rikka Fika, and we’re honored to share Oasis’ expression of coffee with our community.
