DAK Coffee Roasters - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Dak, meaning “rooftop” in Dutch, is a roastery based in Amsterdam, Netherlands run by a small team. Like us, Dak came to fruition from a deep passion for lightly roasted specialty coffee.
Originally from Montreal, Canada, co-founders Louis Philippe and Veronique, create a focal point on sourcing ethically, partnering only with green coffee importers that they share values with, ensuring that they provide the highest quality of coffee.
In order to highlight this, Dak not only roasts lightly, but experiments with new roasting profiles to discover unique flavors — their goal being a clean, bright, and sweet cup. They continue to maintain a wide but approachable selection of coffees, holding experimental and funky coffees as well as classic origins to cater to every preference. More recently, they have gained notoriety for embracing coffee innovations in genetics and processing — the names they give their coffees signifying its unique taste notes.
