Pour-Over Brewing 101
This hands-on introductory pour-over brewing class is tailored to those who are looking to start or recently embarked on the pour-over journey, and wanting to learn more about the basics of pouring and recipes. This session is hosted in our cafe, led by our supportive coffee team members, with a small class size designed for hands-on practice time and personalized attention.
Location: Rikka Fika, 810 13th Street, San Diego.
Class Content:
Fundamentals of Pour-Over Brewing: Going over the essential steps to make your ideal cup at home, including dosing, grinding, pouring techniques, following and tweaking recipes.
Troubleshooting Skills: Learn how to diagnose and fix common brewing issues.
Taste Differentiation and Brewing Variables: Explore how different factors affect the taste and quality of your brew.
Hands-On Practice: Watch, learn, and practice under guidance using provided equipment including April drippers, Fellow grinders, scales, and kettles — similar to any home setups for a practical experience.
Take-Home Coffee Included: Every participant will receive a pack of our HIBI house-blend to practice their new skills at home!
All necessary equipment will be provided, with the support of Fellow Los Angeles Store.
