If you’ve been following the specialty coffee scene, you’ve probably heard of Simple Kaffa and its owner, Berg Wu.

After graduating with an M.S. in Engineering from Taiwan’s best university, Berg decided to put all his passion and scientific knowledge into making the best possible coffee. Started with a coffee tricycle in 2009, his hard work paid off after years of training. After winning the WBC Taiwan regionals for 3 consecutive years, Berg was crowned World Champion in 2016.

The win did not stop the Simple Kaffa team from improving coffee experiences for his guests. With coffee accessibility in mind, Simple Kaffa expanded from the flagship store into other formats, including a kiosk for quality coffee to-go, as well as an intimate coffee bar allowing a close-up exchange with the knowledgable baristas.

As a highly-reputable roastery, Simple Kaffa employs color-sorting computers and nitrogen flushing to ensure each bag is consistent and fresh. This is why Simple Kaffa can be found on countless Best Coffee Shop rankings, by domestic and international media outlets alike.
