Ritrovare - 2025 WCRC#2 - Taichung, Taiwan

Ritrovare – Italian for “to find” – reflects a mission to uncover beauty in every coffee. Founded by Ashton Huang in Taichung, Taiwan, Ritrovare grew from his early years cultivating coffee in Taiwan’s central mountains, where he developed a deep connection to the land and a curiosity for flavor and process. Soon after launching Ritrovare, Ashton began competing on the national stage, earning finalist status in 2017, placing second in 2018, and finally winning 1st place at the 2022 Taiwan Coffee Roasting Championship. In 2025, he well-represented Taiwan on the world stage, placing 2nd at the World Coffee Roasting Championship in Houston, a milestone that affirmed Ritrovare’s place among the world’s leading roasters.

Ritrovare showcases a wide range of expressive coffees, with a special spotlight on Taiwan-grown micro-lots, including some of the rarest and highest-scoring coffees most sought-after.

Even after his global recognition, Ashton continues to work closely with local producers, championing new varietals, experimenting with localized processing methods, and driving innovation in Taiwan’s coffee landscape.
